Indian Breakfast

A beautiful morning on our first long weekend had catses cleaning each other in the sun.

I, on the other hand, had the pleasure of being invited to my dear lovely neighbour for a South-Indian style breakfast.

A typical South-Indian breakfast is idli. These are steamed cakes made with lentil and rice flours.

They are lighter than they look and very pleasant on the stomach, specially for the gluten sensitive.

My dear lovely neighbour served the idli with a freshly made daal.

You could not ask for a tastier, yet lighter and healthier breakfast specially when a freshly cut melon is added to the mix.

Thank you my dear lovely neighbour. Now I can go back and lounge in jardin to wrap up a pleasant long weekend.
