Booza is the Lebanese word for ice-cream. The country is packed with all the brands of ice-cream that are available in Canada, but it is the local ice-cream that I come here to eat.
This is simply chocolate and milk ice-cream (we don't refer to it as vanilla here). It is the mastic that makes it so gooey and yummy.
And then there is the Ashta flavour - this is made with heavy cream, not milk, with the added mastic - a perfect breakfast of champions.
It gets even better. You add Lebanese sweets to it and then you can indulge in a taste high.
