Mom likes her steak well done and won't shy away from returning her steak to the grill in a restaurant if still red in the middle.
So at home, rather than grilling a full steak, mom will cut it into chunks.
No BBQ sauce allowed. The marinade is simply salt, pepper, cinnamon, all spice...and tomatoes.
And instead of grilling, baking will better guarantee the meat is well done.
So everything goes into a baking dish, spaced up impeccably to make sure the meat is well cooked.
And it gets baked and comes out way better than any reader is imaging this steak to be.
Mom likes a simple potato salad with olive oil, lemon juice and dried mint dressing with her steak. I cannot resist any excuse to have humus with dinner.
