Rediscovering Kelowna

I have not been to Kelowna in over two years.

And wow - things are really changing in Kelowna.

With six hours in the city, there was not much time to discover all the new gems popping up throughout Kelowna.

But a stroll down the booming-with-cafés and restaurants Bernard Avenue landed me at The Bohemian Café and Catering company.

Eclectic, bohemian, hip, inventive  - The Bohemian has it all. But most important it has the quality of food that is not found at many similar restaurants in other cities.

Being in Kelowna, nothing would have been more appropriate to kick off the meal with than freshly squeezed apple juice. Those apples probably traveled less than an hour to make it to the restaurant - you can tell by the taste.

Continuing to crave healthy and local food, I went for the mango chutney turkey salad sandwich along with a broccoli salad.

It was good, it was tasty. I am not sure there is a similar restaurant combining this eclectic buzz, quality of food and value pricing anywhere in Vancouver.

I am looking forward to be back Kelowna!
