Back to The Reef on Main

My first discovery of The Reef on Main was 1.5 years ago.

But tonight, a beautiful summer night, The Reef's patio was very inviting and craving for an adventurous dinner took over.

A virgin B'nanas Smoothie was ordered, only to realize that I have walked, not driven to the restaurant. The order changed from virgin to a double rum packed delicious drink with a kick.

The food strategy was to try as much of new stuff as one can. Quick math on efficiency versus efficacy resulted in the following two choices.

So the tasting platter for two, with Chana Salad and Roti, Plantain Chips, Coco Prawns and Jerk Wings was a perfect choice to try lots.

The wings were really good and went well with the alcohol consumption.

The Chana Salad was alright, but the roti that came with it made all the difference.

But my favourite addictive item were those.

Ackee & Salt Fish is, according to their menu, Jamaica's national dish and one was ordered to share. Different, tasty, but not really special. However, the coleslaw was exceptional.

But at the end of the day, The Reef is about hanging out on Main, hydrating with some booze, enjoying different food and having fun.

A perfect summer (or is it end of summer) evening.
