And a couple of blocks north, there is a beautiful looking restaurant with two patios called BierCraft.
You have probably read my article on BierCraft on commercial drive (Read it Here). This visit on Cambie location was more of the same - working lunch, a bunch of platters to share and fun lunch company.
We started with a hand-made Arnold Palmer. Who is Arnold you ask? It is a drink mixing 1/2 lemonade and 1/2 iced tea named after the American golfer Arnold Palmer (the things one learns as a blogger).
But the highlight of the meal were the Fish Tacos - three very colourful tacos packed up with cod marinated in achiote and citrus, along with white cabbage and salsa and drizzled with lime juice and fresh cilantro. Excellent taste, not enough of them though.
In fact, the only part I'm not crazy about at BierCraft is the price of food - you need to spend a lot to walk out with a full stomach.
The adventure was wrapped up with the Drunkard mussels marinated with BierCraft pilsner (at least now I can say I tried their beer). Those were also very tasty.

I agree with you about their food in regards to the price to quality to quantity ratio. A little pricey for what you get. The true beauty of Biercraft though is their beer. They have a really good selection of really good beers and are very knowledgeable about all of them. They will let you have a taste of anything on tap which is great. If you are a beer connoisseur, don't rule them out because of their food!
