An Iranian Home

We were welcomed into the home of Gilaneh Grill House with a typical Iranian home welcome - a pond of fish.

The authenticity did not stop there, but translated itself into the food, starting with Kashke Badimjan that tasted as great as it looked.

The Kabob Torsh included two different kabobs, freshly grilled and thoroughly enjoyed.

The authenticity of Gilaneh Grill House was best showcased with Dizi.

No, Dizi is not erotic Persian art (even though that is very authentic too). It is a hearty soup made with lamb and lamb broth in small clay pots (that's the Dizi) with potatoes. It is then mashed and eaten as a thick soup.

A place worth remembering.
