Holiday Festivities Begin

December begins and the holiday festivities kick off with a San Francisco office-wide fun and fancy dinner at Roy's.

Those in-the-know talk about how Roy first opened a restaurant in LA called 385 North. After a popular LA stunt, he moved to Hawaii and opened the first Roy's as a Hawaiian Fusion restaurant. Today the chain is in 8 states and has 9 restaurants in California alone.

My dinner included a fancy and delicious Blackened Rock Shrimp & Red Beans Soup with Portuguese sausages and Japanese Shishito peppers. Main dish was a Surf & Turf of Filet and Shrimp with Mexican Poblano pepper mash and asparagus. The Poblano mash was quiet unique, wish they had a bigger portion. As an after thought, I should have ordered the Bento Box with Grilled Salmon, Misoyaki butterfish, beef short ribs and kim chee.
