Is It Stew OR Is It Soup?
Craving a hot stew with dumplings on a rainy Vancouver night. Some leftover turkey chunks that did not get used in yesterday's casserole. Throw all in a pot of water, add celery, potatoes, carrots, squash, turnips; and a stew begins to brew.
I taste the broth to realize that this is simply water with mild turkey flavour. The salt and pepper I added did not make an impact. A tin came to the rescue: Maison Cöte Rustic Italian Seasoning - a mix of basil, oregano, rosemary, garlic, pepper, celery seeds and chili flakes.

I let the stew boil, prepared the dough for the dumplings and relaxed in anticipation of a delicious stew. Once served, a debate began about whether this is a stew or a soup. Here is a picture of dinner - Do you think I ate stew or soup?
