Soup Aux Pois Canadienne


Waking up to a dark rainy mid-week day, hot soup was all I could think of. My pantry produced a jar of yellow split peas, so I soaked those and went to work.

8 hours later, they started to simmer with onions, ham chunks, salt, pepper and jardin herbs. 3 hours later, a delicious Canadian style pea soup was served, enjoyed, and leftovers packed for another rainy night.

What a perfect meal for this dreadfully wet Vancouver day.
