Blogiversary Celebrations Continue

Friends from near, friends from far, all came to celebrate the blogiversary (see Happy Blogiversary entry from yesterday).

Given all the celebration activities, contests, and gifting, somerville kitchen closed for the weekend. But one cannot celebrate a kitchen away from it, so ordering in seemed in order.

And the choice was Green Lettuce Restaurant.

Green Lettuce Restaurant does not deliver, but provides 15% discount on pick up orders. A feast for four tonight was, including taxes and tip, less than $17 dollars per person.

Not only is it cost effective, it is unique, tasty and spicy - a mix of Indian, Chinese and Manchurian food. Not to be missed.

So here's tonight's celebration menu:

Crispy noodles topped with vegetable and black bean sauce.

Manchurian Beef; to die for - hot and spicy, yet fresh tasting.

Mongolian Lamb, which is similar to the Manchurian spice, albeit subtly different.

Lemon Chicken with a tangy sauce, lots of chopped carrots and lemon slices - my favourite.

Vegetable Korma - a vegetarian curry with cauliflowers, eggplants, zucchini, peppers, carrots, baby corns, etc.

Gobi Manchurian, which are crispy cauliflowers in one of those exotic sauces this place specializes in.

Rice, papadums and wine were on the table in abundance. All had fun, full tummies and a nice celebratory time. And of course, the famous celebrations' cupcakes topped with jardin raspberries and thyme were a sweet end to a sweet night.
