Jardin tomatoes keep on giving. This is how the stock is looking tonight. They are being picked on the green side to avoid them rotting in the rain and leaving them to turn red indoors. The process is working very well.
Tonight's dinner comprised of two basic tomato productions.
First, a fresh tomato
pasta sauce was prepared. The garlic was fried in olive oil, the
mushrooms added, then the chopped tomatoes and basil.
Second, rather than the conventional garlic bread. The baguette was painted with basil olive oil and garlic. Tomato slices were added on top.
This was grilled just like garlic bread.
The result was a delicious red tomato night.
All were thrilled except cats who thinks tomatoes are for the birds.
