Discovering Romer's

In the least expected, surprisingly beautiful location south of Marine Drive in Vancouver is Romer's Burger Bar.

Looking at the menu, you'd call it a diner. But the food is all natural, local, and unique.

Burger of the Month is The Chili, Chili Palmer (click here to read all about).

Burgers are served on this filling, calorie-loaded brioche bun;  a tasty twist on bun burgers. (or have it raw on iceberg lettuce).

I personally had the Port & Stilton Burger (good choice).

Nice natural chunk of beef covered with port-braised onions, creamy Stilton and fresh thyme leaves. The additions don't overwhelm the meat, only enhance it.
A French Fries and a Poutine side fed five.

With burgers between $10 - $12 dollars and sides between $4 - $7, two can have a real fancy lunch for less than $15 a person. Best diner value in the city.
The uniqueness doesn't stop at the food. I had a delicious Fentimans Rose Lemonade .

But my guest's choice was even more unique - a mango mint iced tea.

Their "sweet stuff" looked decadent too, but that brioche bun was so filling...
 I want to go back!
