A Meeting of Two

On a snowy Sunday, not many ventured out to this month's somerville kitchen cookbook club.

But the two that did had a great visit and our hostess impressed us with the book featured and the dish made from the featured book.

The Instant Cook by Donna Hay was featured for its ease of recipes, high gloss paper, sexy photos and one other very unique feature.

Donna Hay, for most of the recipes in the book, presents the basic recipe along with three different variations on it. Ingenious I thought.

We enjoyed those simple but very tasty tarts. Our hostess replaced the book's original recipe of eggplant and tomatoes with zucchini and tomatoes. Delicious!
