Turnippini

Back in November I featured pickled Turnips (Lefett) - a Lebanese food staple (see Lefett).

Now, le jardin is overflowing with turnips that it was time to pick them up and turn them into Lefett.

So I go and pluck all out of the ground.

However, despite huge leaves, the turnips were tiny.

Pickling Lefett also requires beets to give them their beautiful rose colour. So I plucked a couple of those from le jardin; they were as tiny as the turnips. 

With all the tiny ingredients, I managed to put together a tiny jar, appropriately named...
