Raspberry Forest
Raspberries are having a great life in jardin this year.
Raspberry bushes climbing everywhere - front yard, back yard, over neighbour's yard.
They are harvested with love daily, yielding a bowl like this every night.
I have never been a raspberry fan until jardin started producing them.
Now they barely survive the trip from jardin to kitchen.
Nothing beats starting the morning with fresh raspberries over cereal.
Well, except floating on lemon zest yogurt, topped with whipped cream and sprinklers.
Jardin is also producing this variety of raspberries jardin calls bumbleberry.
They are purple in colour, rounder in shape and taste somewhere between a blackberry and a raspberry.
I wonder how long is the raspberry season, but that is the pleasure of home gardens - one eats what one gets today and thanks mother nature for its daily gifts.
Now time for a bowl of raspberry.
