Tapenade

A lazy day roaming with a beautiful princess, Kermit the frog and a plastic cat landed us in Steveston.

The timing was perfect for a brunch at Tapenade Bistro.

This painted stone welcoming us summarized the service we had - pleasant, but slow.

The food was much better than the service. The beat salad served over a chickpea puree and sprinkled with goat cheese was my favourite.

A platter of grilled sardines decorated with tiny vegetables was alright.

This plate reminded me of deep fried sardines in Lebanon; the best way to have them.

Now I wish Steveston had bigger selection of fresh seafood beyond the endless boats of shrimps and salmon - I would have loved to buy some sardines and fry them in jardin tonight.
