Mixed together made a quickly-consumed delicious guacamole appetizer.
Next came Pasta ala Putanesca where onions and garlic were sauteed, 4 tomatoes and one of each red, orange and yellow pepper diced.
All simmered for a couple of hours with jardin fresh oregano, capers, and black olives. One simple but tastely sophisticated pasta sauce.
You'd think enough vegetables on the table?
A fresh lettuce, mushrooms, carrots, jardin cucumber and jardin snow peas was put together with a choice of home made Thousand Island dressing (click Recipe) or olive oil, home made wine vinegar and dried herbs dressing.
And all those vegetables were washed down with decadent chocolate cupcakes; a small reminder that Halloween decorations should be brought out this weekend.
Thank you Laura for an early Halloween.
