Any guesses what's in this Best Buy bag?
A toaster! Yes, you can buy anything these days at BestBuy.ca including my lovely new Cuisinart toaster. And at the lowest price - guaranteed.
Once the toaster was home and admired, the next task was where to put the toaster.
A bit of background on somerville kitchen - the kitchen does not like electrical gadgets. There is a toaster oven but no microwave, no fancy mixer, no electrical knife and, until today, no toaster.
So it was only appropriate that the toaster hangs out with its one and only other electrical buddy - the toaster oven.
Now the toaster in place, I had to test it. It has all those neat features - defrost, heat and toast.
Also it can accommodate bread, bagels and waffles.
For now, all that is left is to do is sit and imagine all the meals I can do with toast. Breakfast of toast with honey and cinnamon; toast and butter; toasted sandwiches; and I can't wait to try waffles with blackberry syrup. Endless possibilities.
But all I had in the kitchen was bread and it toasted so well.
Meanwhile, the excitement was not limited to myself. Catses had a real thrill over the toaster (more like the toaster box).
But while one used it as an observational post, the other one decided to eat it.
And if you don't believe it, here's the proof.
And this brings us to the end of a toaster filled wacky Thursday.
