Travelling Abroad - Classy Welcome to Lebanon

Welcomed with champagne and desserts - what a way to start a sleeping and eating vacation.

While baklawah is one of those sweets on the platter, the word is also used generically for such sweets. These are made with a variant of puff pastry or vermicelli stuffed with pine nuts, walnuts, pistachio, or almonds - all delicious and in bite sizes so I can try every variant.

And these are sort of cookies stuffed with walnuts, pistachios or dates - every shape and design refers to a different stuffing. Again, in bite sizes so I can try one of each.

 Let the food and drinking adventures begin.
