zaatar w zeit means zaatar and oil, a typical Lebanese breakfast.

It is also the name of a cool all-day breakfast chain that the hip refer to as zwz (pronounced zwiz).

I experienced it at one of its hippest Beirut locations.

zaatar w zeit key positioning seems to be on healthy eating.

Freshly baked pitas turned into wraps with endless combinations of delicacies.

In addition, they are offering a light eating menu from which I chose the light version of their flagship zaatar w zeit sandwich.

Excellent zaatar, perfect bread. They sure know how to serve their zaatar and zeit.

However, despite all the focus on redefining light and healthy eating, the café latté is only available with whole fat milk.

More disappointing was serving it on the cold side.

Otherwise, a very pleasant hang out with a favourite relative gearing up for a shopping expedition in trendy Beirut.
