Breakfast Party

Today I was invited to a breakfast party at one of my favourite aunts.

The party started with a tray of Knefeh (which many of you have seen before and realize it is one of my favourite white and creamy dishes).

Everyone of us had a piece, floating in syrup.

This was too sweet to start the day, so a pile of Manakeesh showed up on the table.

There were zaatar and cheese Manakeesh, so I had one half of each.

By then, we needed to digest all this food. As such, a tray of coffee was served.

The sugar, carb and caffeine were a perfect combination to start the day... with a nap.
