Beautiful dinner this turned out with a deserve-to-share recipe (I typically create my pasta sauces as I go, but this is worth following).
Start by a saute of:
- 2 diced carrots
- 2 diced celery sticks
- 1 diced onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 Tbsp chopped parsley
Add a can of tomatoes and few magic ingredients:
3 bay leaves
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp peppercorns
salt and pepper to taste
Simmer for an hour.
Meanwhile fry some sliced mushrooms.
When the sauce has simmered its hour, then add the mushrooms and a can of tomato paste.
Mix through to heat up and its ready to serve.
