Bad Idea

I have no idea why I chose to cook an Indian meal from a book of international recipes that who knows where these recipes are coming from.

I forged ahead. Onion, pepper, ginger, chillis and cashew nuts - it will be good I said to myself.


I blended all. I added a whole bunch of spices.

The ghee. The paste and yogurt. The onions and meat.

The simmering. The rice.

And dinner was ready. Not my best Indian production. It was spicy, but low on taste and heavy on oil.


But it was a home-cooked meal and I am grateful for that.
