From a Chinese Kitchen



I got this book from "ma chere" in 1982. If I remember right, it was a relative of my friend who wrote it and it was designed to teach non-Chinese how to cook Chinese food.

And it is from this book that I learned how to make Chow Mein. So in tribute to ma chere's birthday, I made Chow Mein from her gift tonight. 
 
The meal was served with freshly steamed Gai Lan and store bought egg rolls.
