The New Toy

I love my new toy - the stove has a grill on top that came in handy on this rainy night to make burgers and hot dogs indoors.

And with the new fancy stove hood, all smelled fresh at the end of the grilling.

Men and their toys... 

The other highlight of tonight is the experiment of deep frying pre-frozen potatoes that are designed to cook in the oven.

Kitchen Tip
Follow instructions when it comes to frozen french fries. The combination of whatever chemicals they use to keep them fresh and the hot oil resulted in a very artificial texture to the fries. 

Having said that, they tasted good and were all happily consumed. And the neighbour's cat liked the heated stove top and joined for a warmed-up nap!
