Laura's Lasagna Once Again

I patiently waited over a year for another taste of Laura's Lasagna.

And this year's lasagna was even more tasty, definitely healthier and accompanied with a variety of great sides.

The lasagna itself was light on noodles to reduce gluten content. It was high in vegetables content with lots of spinach, mushrooms, shredded zucchini and carrots. The sauce was simply a can of garlic/herbs tomato sauce.

The salad had crab meat, feta cheese, tomatoes and the inventive mixture of lettuce and cabbage.

A meal on its own, but we ate and ate a lot of all.

Dessert was yet a healthy option - a beautifully looking fruit salad with strawberries, pineapple, grapefruit and oranges.

All was healthy so far until... I brought dessert.

A stop at Trafiq (4216 Main St.) emptied their cake counter from what was left for the day.

This included the banana caramel cake (decedant) and Fruitopia sponge cake with vanilla syrup and fruit compost.

You only live once.

Thank you Laura for trying to keep us all healthy!
