Trois Salades

Why eat anything else in this heat?

Salads can be simple, basic, sometimes boring. Salads can be sophisticated, big, colourful.

At somerville kitchen, salads are simply a creative outlet.

The art of this salad is the chopping. Jardin lettuce chopped really thin.

Add to this some chopped onions, chopped beets, oil, red vinegar and you have a nice blend of tastes ready to serve.

Leftover rice, leftover macaroni, red and green peppers, parsley, chopped sausages.

Dressed with a mixture of tahini, mayonnaise, mustard and oil. Tasted much better than you think.

After all the creativity above, this salad stuck to the basics.

Boiled red potatoes, jardin chives, mayonnaise, pickle juice, a touch of mustard, salt and pepper.

And make sure you serve more than one salad at a time if dinner is just salads - keeps the plate more photogenic.
