An Ancient Grain

My dear lovely neighbour found an ancient grain that is disappearing from the menus of today's world - Sorghum.

It tastes like a hybrid of lentils and barley -  you can tell why our ancestors were so much stronger than us living on such grain.

A beautiful shrimp coconut curry was served over it - what a lovely meal my dear lovely neighbour.

A side of Indian style greens was just the right touch as a palate cleanser.

The ancient root plantain was fried in sugar and butter to become part of dessert.

Thank you for all the shrimp and the food history my dear lovely neighbour.
