I have tried to replicate mom's Kafta several times and failed miserably
The dish itself is straight forward - ground beef with onion and parsley, baked covered with boiled potatoes and cooked in the oven with tomato sauce
So what is my mom' Kafta's secret
Personally, I believe the secret is taking time to cook the dish
This means the meat is well spiced, the parsley and onions are slowly minced and the meat is slowly baked on low heat
The potatoes are boiled to the right level by being watched consistently when boiling and cut carefully into equal thickness slides
Delicious, thank you Mom
