Paying to BBQ our Own Dinner

Looking for an entertaining evening for guests, the idea of a Korean BBQ came to mind.

You'd think our city is packed with such restaurants, but texts to friends and hours on Urban Spoon did not really provide any definitive solid recommendations.

The choice fell on Kyo Korean BBQ & Sushi House, an all-you-can-eat Sushi and Korean BBQ at your table style restaurant.

The place was buzzing and young Japanese and Korean servers running around efficiently taking orders, lighting the BBQ, but not as efficiently bringing the food.

Every kind of meat on the menu was ordered, allowing for varied tastes, textures and lessons on how long it takes to BBQ each type.

But the tastiest items were the Korean pickles and kimchis.

What about the sushi you ask?

It was on the top worse sushi in the city. But at least we had the BBQ going so an experiment in salmon searing took place, adding to the entertainment

(and the place gets five stars for entertainment value).

But the peak in entertainment was bringing to the table this colourful gelatin dessert.

Not a very bad way to wrap up the entertaining, filling, not so tasty Kyo dining experience.
