Gearing Up

As somerville kitchen gears up for an upcoming blogging from Lebanon trip, a teaser of Lebanese food is in order.

Tonight's menu included baked chicken and vegetables; Lebanese style.

Chicken marinated with oil and dried herbs along with onions, tomatoes, green peppers, potatoes and zucchini - all cut in rounds.

The dish is simply baked.


The chicken was served with freekeh (read A Dinner of Freekeh). 

One of the objectives of this Lebanon trip is to learn more about buying and cooking Freekeh.

A garden greens salad and beans and tomatoes completed the dinner spread.
