My Favourite Muppet

It is no secret my favourite muppet is Swedish Chef (Read Swedish Sunday).

And today, like my favourite muppet, I was roll-e-dee, roll-e-dee, flip, flip making meatballs.

But these are not Swedish meatballs (sorry Swedish Chef). Those are delicious German meatballs that rather than fried or baked, are poached in water and bay leave.

They come out delicious and much firmer than grilling them or cooking them in a pot - perfect for freezing.

Some were used for pasta sauce.

While the rest were used dipped in a capers lemon egg sauce (which is the original recipe for poached meatballs).

Okay Swedish Chef, I promise I will make something Swedish next time - flip flip flip.
