Chicken Stew with Biscuits

This is a recipe that was forwarded to me by a great baker follower who tried it and highly recommended it. It sure was a fun cooking experiment.

Specifically, this is a chicken stew with biscuits with the twist of baking the biscuits right on top of the stew. Amazing.

First, you rub the chicken with olive oil and roast them till the cat cannot resist but jump them.

You then cube the chicken, make a white sauce, add some vegetables and bake the stew.

The biscuits had parsley in them. They get layered on top of the stew and baked with it.

Detailed recipe  on foodnetwork.com. Try it out, but cut back a bit on the amount of chicken broth used for the sauce. This made the stew thinner than I would have liked it to be. A perfect Sunday dinner meal, give it a try next week.
